Visionary Novel Seems to Draw from the Headlines PDF Print

SOUTHBOROUGH, MA -- August 30, 2005 -- A woman receives channeled messages that tell of an impending doomsday and include instructions to prevent it. For personal reasons she conceals the messages. Then one day she finds both the opportunity and the courage to "gather the women."

Thus begins a long journey for a small group who will call themselves the “Priestesses of the Emerald Dove.” Together they continue the quest for information, guidance, and a means of counteracting the foretold horror.

THE SONG OF AN EMERALD DOVE follows their journey as the predicted events begin to unfold. “I refer to it as ‘a different kind of holy war’ because the women in the story are fighting as an army of eight on the side of their goddess and world peace. The women must use their paranormal talents and their personal courage, patience, and faith to determine the true nature of this threat — and to triumph over it. I think it will appeal to a wide range of readers, especially those who enjoy stories of the triumph of the human spirit -- and also those who are curious about others who work with the paranormal,” says author Xanna Vinson.

Xanna Vinson is a life-long student of comparative religion, herbalism, and astrology. She holds degrees from The College of New Jersey and Rider University, and has had a multifaceted career in the teaching, counseling, human services, graphic design, public relations, and copywriting professions.

THE SONG OF AN EMERALD DOVE is published by Harvest Shadows Publications of Southborough, Massachusetts.

Previous titles by Harvest Shadows include DARKSOME THIRST, a fast-paced tale of a woman who meets a vampire in the computer room and must resolve the difference between what her logical mind tells her and what she is actually experiencing before he can strike again, and A VOICE IN THE FOREST: SPIRIT CONVERSATIONS WITH ALEX SANDERS, a true account of spirit contact with British witch Alex Sanders ten years after his death.
