Morven Westfield, author of Darksome Thirst, will be reading from the soon-to-be-published sequel, The Old Power Returns, at Boskone on February 17.
Morven's reading, which will be the first public reading from the new book, is part of a "rapid-fire" reading, in which a number of other authors will read. The reading is being organized by Broad Universe, an international organization with the primary goal of promoting science fiction, fantasy, and horror written by women. (For more info, see www.broaduniverse.org )
The readings start at 6 p.m., one reader after another. At this time, the room location and the exact order of readers is not available. Consult the Boskone web site for program information as it becomes available. During the Boskone event, Morven is available for interviews, podcasts, and radio — and just plain socializing. If you are interested in meeting up with Morven at this event, contact her through her web site at www.morvenwestfield.com.
Boskone is a "regional Science Fiction convention focusing on literature, art, music, and gaming (with just a dash of whimsy)." Besides Science Fiction writers, Boskone has program items that also appeal to fantasy and horror writers and fans.
